| The Prevocational Work Study Program provides a viable work experience for students labeled exceptional within the 29 member districts. These students receive valuable training to increase employment skills and prevocational coordinators work to provide every possible opportunity for employment. Students entering the program are evaluated to determine possible eligibility. If eligible, a combination of ongoing evaluation, classroom instruction and employment is provided according to their IEP and transition plan. | ||||||||

| Due to the vocational training aspect of the program, EIASE works in a joint agreement with the Office of Rehabilitative Services (ORS). This department shares expertise, goals and funding in an effort to increase work potential for young people with disabilities. Students with severe disabilities who are approved by ORS and in need of one-on-one assistance to learn work skills are assigned a job coach at student/community work sites. | ||||||||
